Master's in management

Master of Management Study Program (Prodi MM), established through Decree of the Director General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture No. 196/DIKTI/Kep/1999, dated April 30, 1999 with a concentration in Strategic Management. In 2004, the concentration of Financial Management was opened. The establishment of the Strategic Management and Financial Management concentrations is an effort by the Study Program to answer the needs of leaders who act as strategic planners and decision makers based on strategic problem solvingThis is closely related to the world of Indonesian companies and industries, as well as the challenges of rapid change. PS MM is accredited based on BAN-PT Decree No. 12815/SK/BAN-PT/AK-ISK/M/XII/2021, stating that the Management Study Program, at the Widya Mandala Catholic University Surabaya Master Program, Surabaya City meets the requirements for the Accreditation rank Very Good.

The mission of the Master of Management Program is:

  1. Producing management masters who base their thoughts, works, and actions on the values of social care, commitment to humanity, and enthusiasm for all efforts to improve civilization.
  2. Producing management masters who have a competitive advantage in the field of business managerial in a local and global setting.
  3. Produce management masters who are able to become strategic leaders and have expertise and skills in innovative business decision making.

Graduates of the Master of Management Program can work as:

  1. Manager of the Company's Marketing Department
  2. Manager of the Company's Finance Department
  3. Manager of the Company's Human Resources Department
  4. Manager of profit-oriented companies and organizations
  5. Managers of not-for-profit companies and organizations

The Master of Management Study Program curriculum is designed to achieve learning in accordance with KKNI level 8 and Graduate Learning Outcomes. as Follows

  1. Able to communicate, adapt and collaborate effectively across functions and organizational levels (Attitude)
  2. Able to carry out organizational functions (marketing, operations, human resources, finance and strategy) at the operational level in various types of organizations in national and international scope (Knowledge)
  3. Able to conduct empirical studies in the field of management by using scientific methods logically, critically, systematically and innovatively (General Skills)
  4. Able to identify managerial problems and organizational functions, and take appropriate solution actions based on alternatives developed using digital technology (Specific Skills)
  5. Able to develop strategic plans and translate them into operational plans for various types of organizations (Specific Skills)
  6. Able to formulate management functions (planning, organizing, staffing, directing, and controlling and evaluating) at the operational level in various organizations at national and international scope (Knowledge)
  7. Make decisions by considering the value of Caring, Commitment, Enthusiasm (PeKA), ethics, and human values (Attitude)
  8. Mastering the principles of leadership and entrepreneurship in various types of organizations (Knowledge)

The curriculum structure includes: core courses, areas of interest, supporting skills and thesis. Core courses, supporting skills, and thesis are compulsory courses that must be taken by students. Field of interest courses are elective courses according to the student's field of interest. The Master of Management program has two concentrations, namely:

  1. Financial Management Concentration
  2. Strategic Management concentration, with four areas of interest, namely:
